My name is Mathew Sackrider and I am writing this blog to share some information that I have acquired through the time that I have spent trying to attain a healthier body and a more aesthetic physique.
My own fitness journey started in my early 20’s. I hardly knew what I was doing, but I pushed myself hard and I became addicted to that feeling of personal achievement through dedication and physically punishing hard work. I became a fan of running regularly and hitting the gym a few times every week for strength training.
After a few years, I went travelling overseas and I continued to run but without a gym, I lost most of my strength gains and my strength training work ethic.
Several years after coming home I became dedicated to getting into my peak physical shape again. After a personal tragedy in my life, I decided to take my training to the next level. I began to track my meals and macronutrients. I began to plan and record my workouts. Took progress photos and regularly began to research proper lifting form, anatomy and fitness tips from professionals. This is when my passion for fitness grew monumentally and became a solid part of who I am as a person. I have been going hard for just over a year and a half now, and being the type of person that I am, I would love to share some of what I know with others to help them with their journeys.
